VO Stainless Steel Porteur Rack
Currently out of stock.
Newspaper delivery isn’t the lucrative career it once was. Before television and internet, Parisian newspapers were published up to three times a day, and the porteurs with the best routes could earn as much as $60,000 (adjusted for inflation). Their bicycles were made to deliver 100 lbs. of newpapers–fast.
This porteur rack (and all included hardware) is made of stainless steel. The rack tubing is nicely polished, will resist rust and is made to carry large loads. The platform is 36 x 29cm and the included three sided rail is removable.
The connecting strut attached to the brake pivot hole on the fork crown. The lower mounting tangs have three holes to fit a variety of wheel sizes. If your bicycle only has on set of eyelets at the fork dropouts use some spacers so the tang will clear the fork blade. The rack should be positioned to sit as low as possible.
