This is Wald’s most versatile basket, and the one I have strapped to the rear rack of my everyday rider. The low height means you can put it on a rear rack and still get on and off the bike without slamming your knee into the basket as you throw a leg over. Not that you can forget it is there and have confidence in knee safety, but you won’t have display gymnastic/yogic flexibility to get on your bike.  Coupled with a cargo net, I’ve used this basket to haul just about everything around, from my toddler’s Like-A-Bike to a pair of basil plants.  Pertinent beer run specs: two six packs fit easily side by side in the basket. Beer run personal best: one twelve pack and two bottle of wine, cargo net assisted.

We stock the silver and black models, and we special order the silver without hardware to make it easier to mount atop a rack.  You can remove the hardware from the standard models.  There will be slight disoloration on the wire basket where the hardware has been removed, but we assume these will go on very few show bikes.
