Silver 32H and 36H hubs are no longer available. Schmidt SON28 hubs are currently in production only in 40 and 48 hole drillings. Old-stock black 36H hubs are still in stock and discounted. Selected silver 20,24, and 28 hole hubs still available by special order.

The SON 28 Classic set the standard for many years as the finest dynohub in production. The hub is relatively light, polished to a mirror finish, and resolutely reliable. Like all Schmidt dynamos, the SON 28 has a five year warranty. The SON 28 is designed for use on 26″ (559 bead seat diameter) to 28″ (635 bead seat diameter wheels).  If you’re using smaller wheels (or are using an LED headlight and want a lighter wheel with less drag) look at the SONdelux.
