Dynamo Lighting Brackets & Accesories
Headlight Brackets
Most of headlights I sell include a bracket for mounting the light at the fork crown and will generally work with sidepulls or v-brakes. In other cases you may need one of the brackets below.
Cyo, Fly, and Lyt headlights include this stainless steel bracket made from 4.5mm rod. This bracket is good choice for an Edelux, which doesn’t ship with a bracket. This mount is designed for use with caliper brakes (sidepull or centerpull) and will also work with some cantilever and v-brakes with the addition of a few spacers between the bracket and fork crown. The HD Caliper Mount below can also be used with caliper brakes. The mount is strong enough for use with a Cyo, Fly, or Lyt, but I wouldn’t use it with an edelux. In that case use the stainless Cyo mount avove.

If your bicycle has cantilver brakes the above brackets may interfere with the straddle cable. One solution is to lengthen the straddle cable. This modification works well on high profile cantilevers, but is not recommended with low-profile cantis. A long stradle cable will enter low profile cantis from the wrong angle, reducing brake performance. The 471U bracket below is designed for used with cantilever brakes.

Nylon V-Brake mount. The mount below will work with any headlight I sell. The backside of the mount is curved to fit a unicrown fork (brazed fork crowns are usually flat). The bracket goes pretty much straight up so that the transverse cable for a v-brake will pass underneath it.

The R&M Handlebar bracket is designed for use on the handlebar. It will mount on bars up to 26.0 mm in diameter.
Tailight Brackets
The dynamo powered tailights I sell are designed for mounting on a fender (Seculite and 4D Lite) or a rack (Topline Line, Toplight Flat). The rack mounted lights are designed for European standard brackets, which have two holes 50 and/or 80mm apart. Many racks sold in the US lack these mounts, in which case you’ll want one of the brackets below.
But first, if you don’t have a rear rack or fenders on your bike you can use one of the two brackets below to mount a dynamo powered headlight.
The cross bracket is used on bicycle that use cantilever or v-brakes. It mounts to the brake posts and is used to mount a Seculite tailight.

The bracket below can be used to mount a light designed to be mounted on a rack. It mounts to the seat post binder, but will only work if the binder isn’t large or recessed into the seat cluster.

Many racks that don’t have a European standard mount do have a single hole facing the rear of the bike, in which case the adapter below can be used.

If you don’t have a hole in the rear of your rack then the t-bracket below can be clamped to the top of your rack. If your rack has a top plate you may need to drill some holes in the plate.

Dynamo Light Wiring
Most of the headlights and some of the headlights I sell come with wiring. Extra wiring can be purchased below.
The most common reason for purchasing extra wiring is that the included wiring is too short. If you need a wire longer than 185cm to run between your headlight and tailight then you’ll need to buy some Schmidt coaxial wiring. I buy spools of this wire and it can be cut to length as needed. When you purchase the correct length of Schmidt coaxial wiring you’ll need to purchase the necessary connectors.
I don’t have a picture of this wiring yet, but the wiring is the same used on Schmidt headlights. It is tougher than the Busch & Muller single or double strand wire.
Schmidt Coaxial Wire. Sold per foot.
If you’d like extra Busch and Muller wiring I have single and double strand sections of wire. There are connectors on one end of the the sections of wire, so you’ll need to buy spare spade connectors if you want or need to use them on your tailight. The single strand wire can only be used if you don’t need a ground wire running from your headlight to your tailight, otherwise (or if you’re in doubt) get the double strand wire.

Spare Connectors for Dynamo Lighting
The 3mm connectors are used for tailight connectors and 4mm for connecting headlights to SON hubs. All the connectors are female connectors. I don’t have male 3mm or 4mm connectors, sorry.
