LED lights have advanced to the point that halogens are now far inferior.  There are many drawbacks to halogen lights vs. LED’s but one plus–they’re less expensive. This is the only halogen light I stock.  Sometimes when people are purchasing their first dynamo lighting system they want an inexpensive light which they later plan to upgrade, in which case the Lumotec N2 Plus is a good choice.

The Lumotect N2 Plus works with all the dynamo hubs we sell. It has an LED standlight so you’ll be illuminated when stopped. The standard light comes with a 2.4 watt bulb.  If you aren’t going to use a tailight you’ll need to use a 3 watt bulb in the headlight.  If you use the 2.4 watt bulb without a tailight, your bulb will burn out prematurely. You’ll likely only get 10% of the bulb life you would otherwise.

Like all Busch & Muller headlights, this light has optics with a horizontal cut off–like a car headlight on low beam. This means the light won’t blind other road users, and that the available light is focused on the road where you need it.
