The Aeroheat and Dyad rims are identical except for the diameter of the circle the extrusion are molded to..  In 26″ Velocity calls the rim the Aeroheat, in 700c the Dyad.  The rim is extremely durable and surprisingly light.  Many tandem teams and touring cyclists use the Dyad/Aeroheat. In 26″ the Aeroheat is suitable for cross country mountain biking as well as touring, or tandem riding.  The Dyad is available in high spoke count drillings for tandem and touring wheels.  At 24mm wide, I wouldn’t recommend this rim for tires narrower than 28mm, but then againt I would very rarely recommend tires narrower than 28mm.

The Aeroheat/Dyad comes in black and silver with machined sidewalls as well as black with non-machined sidewalls. Drillings are 32, 36, 40, and 48.  I don’t list every possible combination here, only the most popular.  Contact the shop if you’re looking for a color or drilling not listed.
