For a long, long time the only high polished rim left in production was the Sun CR-18. Lovers of shiny rims had to pay premiums for NOS MA 2′s or rebuild used rims. The CR-18 is a fine rim, but at 530ish grams it isn’t what you’d call suitable for a zippy road wheelset. These high polished rims are 450 grams, just a tad heavier than a Mavic Open Pro or Velocity Aerohead. Doublewall with stainless eyelets and classic box section construction.
