This is the best non-Rohloff internal gear hub on the market. Its nine-speeds cover a 340% range, which is more than the Nexus or Alfine eight speed hubs (308%), but more importantly the speeds are evenly spaced–ranging between 14-17% (vs. 13-22% for the Shimano eights). You won’t find yourself feeling one gear is too low and the next one up too high. The internals are simple and repairable.  Disc brake compatible. 36H silver only. Comes with a 20T cog.

The i-9 does not use standard 3-speed/coaster brake cogs, but uses a proprietary cog.  18-22T cogs are expected to be available in late July and will be under $10.

The shifter for the i9 is sold seperately and comes with 1700m cable and housing.
