This is the less fancy, taller brother to the Technomic Deluxe from Nitto, which we call the Technomic Standard. What’s the difference? Most importantly, the quill is 225mm vs. 190mm for the Deluxe. The handlebar pinch bolt nut isn’t as nice on the Standard and the finish is not quite as pretty. The Standard is gravity cast and the Deluxe is cold-forged, but both are Nitto-famously-strong.

26.0 clamp only. These Nitto shims will allow you to use 25.4 bars with these 26.0 stems, and if you ever switch to a 26.0 bar in the future you won’t have to buy another stem.

Be aware that on small frames you might barely be able to sink this stem lower than the minimum insertion line, so unless you’re really trying to jack up the bars you might be better off choosing the Technomic Deluxe. Also keep in mind that if you need to test how much you can insert a stem into your frame not to do it with one of these because we can’t give refunds on stems that have been inserted into a frame.
