SRAM 9 Speed Chains
Use these if you’re you’re using a nine speed cassette drivetrain. They’ll work with sub-nine speed cassettes, but usually aren’t necessary if you’re using a cassette with less than nine cogs.
However, I’ve run into cases with current production “10 speed” derailleurs that require narrower chains that the rear cassette alone dictates. For instance, I use a seven speed cassette with a current production short cage derailleur. An eight speed chain rubs the rear cage in some gears, but a nine speed chain solves the problem.
