The centerpull crowd is pretty sophisticated, and these affordable Dia-Compes often get overlooked amidst the Paul’s and vintage Mafacs. Which is a shame, because these are great brakes. I used these on my first 650B conversion and let me tell ya’ they’ll stop on a stingy dime. The front caliper is made for recessed bolt mounting, the rear for traditional nutted mounting–but don’t let that scare you off. We include an insert that allows you to use the rear brake on frames drilled for recessed brakes. Reach is 62-78mm, which means these won’t fit many modern bikes but are just right for 700C to 650B conversions or any bike purpose built to take big tires and fenders.  Sold per pair.
