Ordering

We take orders by phone and e-mail. A phone call is nice because it's a little more personal than e-mail and I can also answer questions more quickly over the phone than via e-mail. If you have quite a few quetions about an order, please call the shop, or e-mail me your questions and provide a phone number and a good time to be reached.

Backorders

We're a small business and we would like to stock every good bike part under the sun. We can't do that, but our on-hand stock grows every week. If something we regularly stock is backordered and you're willing to wait until we have it, we'll ship it to you for free once we get it in stock. This applies to small parts, not large items (wheels, bikes, frames).

Payment

We accept Visa and Mastercard over the phone. You can send checks or USPS money orders via mail. You can also PayPal your total to us. When you pay via credit card, I won't charge your card until the day I ship the order.

Shipping Charges

I'll try to keep this updated, but shipping costs continue to rise as fuel prices go up.

I ship almost all domestic packages via UPS. If that's a problem (here's to you, Ken M.) contact me and we make other arrangements. Some smaller parts go out USPS Priority Mail.

There are two classes of shipping charges one for wheels, bikes, and frames and one for "everything else that isn't big." For "everything else" there's a flat eight dollar shipping charge in the continental US, but if you order $150 or more you get free shipping.

Wheels and wheelsets are charged a flat rate to the continental US. $30 for a wheelset and $20 for one wheel. A significant portion of this is packing materials. Wheelboxes and protective inserts for the wheels aren't cheap. I pay just under $6 in packing materials alone for a wheelset.

Canadian shipping is $40 for a wheelset and $30 for one wheel. Europe, Japan, and Australia are $65 for a wheelset. These are estimates, but they're pretty good estimates and I ship often overseas.

Frame shipping is generally the same as the cost of a wheelset. Complete bike shipping is quoted individually, but figure on $60-$100 depeending on where you live in the US. Again, much of this price is for protective materials to make sure your bike arrives safely.

Returns

Refunds are given up to 30 days after the time of purchase and store credit up to 60 days after purchase. There are no returns on custom and special order items unless defective. If you have any problem with your item please contact us. We'll do everything we can to fix the problem. Really. We want everyone to be satisfied with their purchases.
